CNE Toronto International Airshow 2022 – Regional ‘Aero Skills’ Tournament Results

On Sunday September 4th the Aero Skills competition at the CNE Airshow was a hard-fought battle between three Journey-Level Technicians (Senior Classification). Inclement weather stopped the airshow but not this competition. The competitors were only separated by seven out of a total of 200 potential points: 160 – 153.
“This was the closest competition in over 30 structures events held since 2016,” said Jay Logie, COO of ATG and Aviation NETWorX, (Aero Skills competition sponsor).
Allan Peckford, the current reigning Senior National Can-Am Champion, commented “I set time aside before the event and wasn’t expecting to have to think so hard for a fabrication job,” placed 1st. Gert took 2nd and Lloyd 3rd for Seniors.
Allan will advance to the National competition in Las Vegas, NV, March 4th and 5th, 2023.
Thanks everyone for the support and time for this successful event in Toronto!!
